    Forced Shutdown

Everytime I go to Restart or Shutdown I am getting a forced showdown screen before Win 7 shutsdown. This is with all processes that I can control closed.

Here is what was running on my last shutdown:

I don't see anything out of the ordinary in that list to cause a forced shutdown. When I get the forced shutdown, I have tried to pause to see what process is causing the forced shutdown, but it never pauses and is gone so fast I can not read the process name.

If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate some help.

Go to start and type in msconfig and hit enter. Go to the startup tab and disable everything except your antivirus. Youwill get that message again when you reboot for the first time after you click restart now in msconfig. Try rebooting after the first reboot since you ran msconfig. This should improve computer performance and keep Windows from showing that message. If that dosn't help, adjust the wait to kill timeout setting as shown here: Shut Down -Speed Up

This is normal behavior. Windows has a number of background tasks in needs to close in a controlled manner before shutting down. It is a security feature to prevent access while this is happening.

After disabling everything in misconfig and restarting, I am shutting down normally without the "forced shutdown".

I suspect that the Widgi Toolbar (Spigot) was causing the problem. I know that is a virus which I have never been able to remove. I have run full scan for both "Malwarebytes" and "MSE" and it does not showup as a virus or malware. I have googled on how to remove it but that did not work either. Anyway thanks for the help.
