    Sata 3 from 2 X Sata 2 Ports ?

I am using Windows 7 Home Pemium on a Fujitsu Amilo Pi 3745 Desktop computer.
This uses a MS-7504 (V1.X) Mainboard with Sata 2 capability. This board has 4 internal Sata 2 ports. Is it possible to configure things in such a way to allow me to run a SATA 3 hard drive ?
I wish to do this so that I can benefit from the faster speed of Sata 3

You don't need to configure anything. Just plug it in as you would any SATA hard drive.

It is backward compatible, SATA 3 on a SATA 2 board will run a the SATA 2 speed.

Yes I know it's backward compatable but how do I get the extra speed ? That's why I want to run a Sata 3 HD

You don't get the extra "speed". It will always run at the slowest link in the chain, which would be your SATA2 motherboard.

Besides, if this is a spinning hard drive (not an SSD), there would be no difference. Spinner HDDs don't fully use the SATA2 speed yet, much less SATA3.

But can it be done ?
Alternatively, can RAID 0 be run on a single drive that has been partitioned ?

Can what be done? I don't think you are understanding what's going on. If your computer has SATA2 ports, and you plug in an SATA3 drive, it will run at the slower speed...meaning SATA2. However, since spinning hard drives don't even reach SATA2 speads yet, you won't notice a difference. So don't worry about it.

As for RAID0, you need at least two identical drives for that, and even then you won't see any real performance difference.

I was wondering if it were possible to have two inputs of data at the same time, possibly with the addition of a RAID card and some data cable replacement/junctions to deal with the extra data load.

    Sata 3 from 2 X Sata 2 Ports ?
No you cannot connect a single drive to two ports and get faster speed.

But can it be done ?
Not even if you tried really hard. See above.

No you cannot. For starters how is the drive supposed to read from both partitions at the same time. Even if it was possible it would be slower than a single drive/partition.

You want SATA 3 speeds on a computer that only has SATA 2 ports you're going to need something like this,

StarTech 2 Port SATA 3 PCI Express Controller Card | Ebuyer.com

that or a new motherboard that has SATA 3.
