    Windows 7 Trouble uninstalling JAVA


    Well i have java , tried to uninstall and i recieve this error .

    What i have done - regedit - cleared java folders

    Temp folder cleaned

    Locall app data checked .

    ran cc cleaner .

    did a system restore .

    any help thanks

    Why would you need to uninstall java ?

    hi yes i dont understand why you need to remove java its used on so many applications/websites etc. as for the windows installer please see this tutorial from brink (option 2) How to Repair Windows 7 System Files with System File Checker >>> SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker - Windows 7 Forums

    Java is the number one exploited software for Malware with Flash a close 2nd.
    I uninstalled Java a year ago and no problems.

    I was after a answer . but thanks i worked it out for you guys that may run into this issue or any else ,
    not doing any thing mentioned so far in this thread does not work ......

    (This worked)
    go to regedit . change the string . of java to different strings what is installed..
    Making it a different string it then becomes reconized to uninstall ....

    PEACE :)

    if you dont no about strings go here - How to add, modify, or delete registry subkeys and values by using a registration entries (.reg) file
