New Lenovo G550 Laptop - no grippy when taskbar unlocked

Just noticed there are no grippies when I unlock the Taskbar on my new (to me) Lenovo G550 laptop.

Any idea how to get them back?

I have a Lenovo G500 and can't recall any specific bloatware that interferes there, but it nonetheless corrupts system files which could be the problem with the taskbar unlock anonmaly.

If this is still the factory install you can try to Clean Up Factory Bloatware then check the system file integrity, but you'll have a much better install if you Clean Reinstall Windows 7.

Thanks Greg. It's a recovery install via Lenovo OnKey. I uninstalled all the junkware Lenovo installs. All that's left is Energy Management, OneKey recovery and Cyberlink Power2Go. Not worth reinstalling for though so I'll live with it for now.

Did you check System Files? Just cleaning up bloatware can damage them on Factory installs.

No, good point, I'll try DISM then SFC.

Edit: Rats, forgot DISM doesn't work well on 7, only 8 and up.

SFC ended with corrupted files it couldn't fix.

I'll see if I have the update installed that causes corruption then give SURT a try then SFC again.
