Windows 7: Compressed (zipped) Folders

Compressed (zipped) Folders

Ok another annoying thing on Windows 7. I never saw this pop-up before.

Since this week this pop-up is appearing out of nowhere.

I don't even know what I have to do to show up. I'm simply navigating on the Windows Explorer. I don't use any options, just browsing. And it appears on my face.

How can I disable it? And does anybody know why?

Btw, I didn't install any new program on this time.

Compressed (zipped) folder problem?
When I right-click a 13.2 MB MP3 file and send it to a compressed (zipped) folder, the compressed folder is 13.1 MB--pretty much the same size as the original document. Shouldn't there be more compression that takes place? I get the same results when I create a compressed folder on the desktop and...

New Folders always compressed .zip
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Whenever I right click on the desktop to create a new folder, I am only ever given the option of creating a new compressed .zip folder. Is there a setting I can't find so I can turn this off. My Pictures folder is .zip as well which prevents any thumbnails being...

Send to Compressed (zipped) Folder - on external drive
Greetings. When I use the default Send To Compressed (zipped) folder contextual menu command, I would like to be able to choose where to create the archive instead of it always being placed on the desktop. I often want the destination to be an external drive. Is it possible to create a Send To item...
SendTo : Compressed (Zipped) Folder : Default?
Hello all: I went a bit nutty and started over-customizing my "Send To" folder, located at "C:\Users\Daniel\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo". In the middle of moving shortcuts around, I lost the shortcut labeled "Compressed (zipped) folder". This is the Windows7 default, not connected to...
