    Can't unpin from taskbar

I have somehow pined a ULR link to my taskbar. I have been trying to remove it for a month or so now, my google searches and forum searches have turned up nothing.

If I right click it nothing happens, if I left click it it opens the webpage.

I have looked in the taskbar pinned folder and it do not show up there.

All of the other pinned items, can be unpinned by right clicking like normal.

Any ideas on how to remove it?

Hello Dave, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Could you post a screenshot showing this to see if it may reveal what the issue may be? :)

For now, you might see if using the tutorial below may help. You'll have to repin anything you still want back afterwards though.

    Hope this helps,

Hello Dave, if you right click on the link you created and select " unpin item" it should be removed from the task bar...

    ElDavido,

    That snapshot would be nice.

You can use the SNIPPING TOOL to make the snapshot
    Then upload the Snapshot.

    Make a snapshot (Snip)
WIN | type SNIP | ENTER | New
Drag the cursor around the area you want to snip.
File | Save as | select save location and name | Save

WIN=key with the Microsoft logo on top.

    ================================================
    Post the snapshot:

You may find the offending program here:
WIN | type MSCONFIG | ENTER | STARTUP tab

If you find the offender here, then simply uncheck the box for that program.

That will not remove or delete the program, but rather stop the program from running at startup time.

As requested by the Ueberguru, Brink, that snapshot would be helpful.

    thanks

    Here is a screenshot.

Thanks for the prompt replies guys

Thanks Shawn, the clear and reset bat file cleared it.

Karl it was a ulr shortcut, at first I thought it might have been a virus/malware, because it was a link to my battle.net account.

That's great news Dave. It may have just been a remnant entry in the registry that kept it there before until the BAT cleared it. :)
