How do I remove the taskbar? Win7 ultimate x64

I am using Rainmeter to customize my desktop and I really need to remove my taskbar. I've searched google but cannot find a simple way to do it... any help?

    Thanks in advance.

Hello Ethandbard, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you like, you could set the taskbar to autohide. This way the taskbar will not show until you hover the pointer over it's location when wanted.

Taskbar Auto-hide - Turn On or Off

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

@Brink : Yeah I've tried autohiding it but it leaves a tiny edge at the bottom of my screen, and I always find myself pulling it up either accidentally or just on reflex. I want to completely remove it so that I will be forced to use other means of using programs/apps.

    Thank you for your reply.

This may be a good option to try.

Hide Windows 7 taskbar with Taskbar Eliminator.
