    Hi,

Ok. The only thing I can think of is to try my suggestion overnight, and then see if the files have also moved to the Recycle Bin.

    Ok done that!
The files have now re-deleted themselves.
It's the same files all the time.
But, this is the strangest bit of all!
When you asked me to remove the files from the original folder and place them somewhere else I did that. I actually left them overnight in that same folder. The same files got deleted again not from the new folder...But, from the original folder which did not even contain the files........ MMmmwwerraahhhh?????
So, I restored the files from the recycle bin and then found they were back in the Original folder....
But, I still have the files in the folder that I had originally moved them too!
    Boy! Am I baffled!

There is no program in the startup doing this! It happens at about 18:00pm...

    Hi,

Are any programs left open overnight? For example, an internet browser?

What other files are in this location:
    C:\Users\User\Documents\Janine\Health & Fun\New World\Reiki\Web site\quotes

No programs running overnight and there are no other files in the folder.

How about trying this: copy other files into
    C:\Users\User\Documents\Janine\Health & Fun\New World\Reiki\Web site\quotes
and see if they are deleted. Is it folder related or file related?
Look at your scheduled tasks - anything there? It seems as though it's consistent 18:00.

Search your Computer for 'Reiki' - search contents of files. Is there any cmd/bat/ini file that contains that folder?

Yes. to be honest I am embarrassed to say this but it turns out my wife was logged on on another computer (same time each day) and got confused at to which computer she was on and was continually deleting the files on my computer via network access. She said a few days later which mad me realise that that was the problem....Go figure!
