This is the formfactor that i would get, But it needs to be able to run Windows 8 smoothly. I'd prefer a Win 8 RT system, as long as it has the applications I need and GPS, WiFi, and a CD drive.

Does look interesting... I'm still seeing what I can find.

Does your system have a small battery, so your computer can properly shut down/hibernate when you turn off the vehicle?

Its running off the cars battery I had it wired to an Invertor but that was a too much of a constant drain on the cars 12v system so I tried plugging the pc to a house outlet for a software updates so I found a small adapter to convert it to a cig adapter so I have no problems .I shut it down when I turn the car off. They also have a module where u can wire your PC to the ignition so it will turn it off and on with the cars ignition but my PC is too small to add that adapter. You can also change the bios to make the PC shut down after new updates from windows is installed

Interesting that your computer has a built in AC>DC inverter... All small systems I found had an external inverter, so you just needed a voltage converter/regulator between the car batterry and the computer. No switch to AC required.

It doesn't have a built in one but they sell them they actually made a cord that's factory for my computer where it fits my PC on a AC out but plugs into a cig charger

http://www.mini-itx.com/store/psu here's the link to the wiring if you want it built in. Like again my PC is too small to fit it in without modification
