There was a thread about this same issue that I recall having resolution. I cannot seem to find it. Don't think it's more that two weeks old. Try searching for it using various terms using the search feature. If I find it I'll post again....

    Why are you stopping Superfetch?

So it won't add games or mp3s to my superfetch list. I don't need 2 gigs of garbage loading after every reboot. This is how I plan to manage what's in my list. If you keep it disabled at startup as well and enable after 4 mins of computer being on it will load into ram. Then disable a minute later. To add programs to it enable open them up then disable.

A good example might be winamp. Superfetch loads the program including any files the program wants loaded. ie my 800 songs. I haven't tested it with winamp but it does load Firefox cache so I think it would. It will update every time you open Firefox. It does chache videos. I watch once and im done. I don't want to fight with it so I'm trying to keep it on my terms.
