Windows 7 x64 Professional SP1

Hi Monster212

According to the manufacturer's website specs on your motherboard (MSI Global ? Mainboard - P55M-GD41), your computer should support the faster RAM (when overclocked apparently), and therefore theoretically should acquire faster performance in the 5 - 10% range..

Hope that helps!

Absolutely almost guarantee that the only difference you would see would be with a benchmark. Real world performance will not change 1 bit.

Windows 7 Pro X64 SP1

Recent motherboards seem to run faster RAM at DDR3-1333 (PC3 10600) by default. You'd have to set your BIOS settings to use the XMP profile, or manually set the RAM frequency and timings.

The short version is that there's little to gain above DDR3-1333, outside of synthetic benchmarks.
