    So you did a "system restore" to a point in time PRIOR to problems? Very strange it didn't fix that problem

    But when you boot to safe mode you see a lot of drivers scrolling on screen. Did you see that? What is the last one listed? Or can't you see that because screen becomes black all of sudden

    From Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times. If it fails run System Restore from boot CD, try other steps leading up to rescuiing your files if necessary to run Factory Recovery or Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7
