HELP!!!!

    HELP!!!!


    my system froze up, i pressed the restart button on my PC and it loaded slowly to the desktop and win7 tells me that i am on a temp account?!? all my info for programs has been deleted! what happen?! what do i do?

    well, technically not all deleted but all info for programs are gone, my desktop pic is the default, the icon in the taskbar are default, everything is there but as if i just installed it and all the data of it is gone? did i do something wrong?

    You say you are on a temp account.

    Did you navigate to "C:\Users\Your User Name here\" to see if your original profile with your files exists?

    At this point its moot... its possible that by doing a repair install you can recover from whatever damage was done.. other than that, you will need to do a reinstall of the OS.. Did you back your data up??

    system repair and restore didn't do anything, i am still on some temp account, in my user folder there is "Dave" "public" "TEMP" and "TEMP.Dave-PC" i'll take a guess that i am on TEMP.dave-PC right? what do i do to get on my normal account with all my info?

    well i see lots of other people posting possible solutions, i don't even see your logic behind reinstalling the OS because all my info is everywhere, explain?
