Hybrid sleep?

    Hybrid sleep?


    Should i turn this off? Or should i just use normal sleep will do?

    It really depends on you.
    Hybrid sleep is a combination of Sleep and hibernate so it takes longer to shut down since it must write to your hard drive just like hibernate does. It was designed for desktop systems.

    If power is retained during hybrid sleep (no power failures from the mains) then it will resume just like sleep from what is stored in RAM.

    The advantage is that if a power failure occurs during hybrid sleep, it can resume from where you left off just as hibernate does, while sleep alone could not resume since the data in RAM is lost and a complete restart would be necessary.
