    OS not functioning(Crashed)

    Hi,
I have an issue with my laptop.Few weeks back i had formatted my machine with an operator and recently its not working. The OS is not opening up ,its directly taking me to Set up.I again checked it out with an operator and he tried booting with a cd but can not view the files in my C:,D: drive and assuming that it is a hard disk problem. I want my files and information back because it has lot of important stuffs. Now what can be done. How to take my next step. Its windows 7.
    Reply soon.

You need to fill out your system specifications so we have some idea about your hardware.

    Who is this "operator"?

Do you have a Windows 7 installation disc?

We can't help much without more details about the laptop.

Make, model number, hard drive manufacturer, etc.

Work through each of these steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot.

Included are ways to rescue files and if necessary run a correct Clean Reinstall.
