I just done the steps you had there and it still didn't work, the link is still. I right clicked on the link and clicked delete but nothing happens. Also If I drag more movies into wmp they go into the library fine but when I close wmp and open it again all the movies are gone except the links to the movies that are deleted.

This is the link to them: C:\Users\Scarhead\Music\
go there an delete the playlist.
many times you also might reboot. so what was in memory is flushed from memory.

I don't want to permanently delete the movies, just like to be able to delete the links in wmp, rename the movies then rebuild my library again. Why is it that when I add movies to the library from a folder when I close and re-open wmp he movies are gone except for the links that won't delete. Also there is no playlist to delete in the folder.

You have me by the tail. I use x86, no problems that way, and I also have a playlist in: C:\Users\Snuffy\Music\Playlists\Angels-Demons.
    PS: ANGELS-DEMONS IS A VIDEO

ALL I CAN THEN RECOMMEND IS
    1. OPEN CMD AS ADMIN: SFC /SCANNOW
    2. RETAIL YOUR INSTALL OF WIN7.
