I'm confussed with the windows 7 tutorials

I want to learn windows 7 and hopefully et a certificate someday. I want to get into IT. when I go to start, and I click on default programs or all the programs in start, is there a tutorial for each one and in order? I get really confused with this stuff. I wish it were more Barney style. For an example, a tutorial that goes to start ,then it goes through each one, one by one and explains them, from the list to the other side of where the control panel is, default programs etc. everything seems so thrown together and you click on one. I have no clue where to start . command prompt, deleting files, sub directories, windows config ,etc. anybody recommend where I can start to learn all the basics stuff and from there building blocks of what I should learn first? I would really appreciate it. thanks to anybody who helps a person in need.
