W7 Taskbar dissapearing!

Each time my computer idles for several hours without hybernating (I only
shut off my screen) I loose my taskbar and startbutton, I have to reboot
or log off to make it visible again.

I got W7 RTM 32 bit running with all new mobo and grafic drivers !

Very annoying if you ask me

Thought that was to easy but you never know. Lets start with the basics. Can you fill in your system specs (lower left corner) so we know what hardware you have. Also are you 32bit or 64?, clean install or upgrade,

Then can you go into event viewer (type event viewer in search) and go to windows logs>app tab and look for errors related to this problem. If there are could you using the snipping tool (type snip) take a screen shot of the error and upload it to us?

Thanks

Ken

Strange Dissapearing DVD
Recently I found that my DVD drive is missing in action when I bring up "computer" and it is no longer listed in the device list. I used the DVD several weeks back, and it also reports in BIOS and works when booting to my XP partition. So it seems to be a problem in my Win 7 build 7100 (64)...

Programs' icons dissapearing
Yesterday, I installed 7077 and some of the programs I installed afterwards lost their icons. Ie. all .DOC files lost their Word icon even though they are still associated with Word, PaintShopPro Startmenu shortcut reverted to the same default icon as .doc files. What is going on?
