    Neither does Task Manager.

    The tutorial references booting from repair or install disks, so the installed OS and associated permissions/security aren't even involved, and Task Manager isn't utilized. Pretty much the same with any boot disk.

    I was trying to show the OP different ways to get the same results that you get when ticking the Start Orb. Once there the OP can run cmd or what ever. Ctrl/Tab/Esc will get the same results as the Start Orb or the Windows Flag Key. I think we lost the OP. Come back OP.

    Yes, I realize that Layback Bear. I think you nailed it back in post #23 by providing the link describing how to run it offline, after the OP mentioned the trouble with getting to a command prompt, much less an elevated command prompt (probably easier for the OP than use of runas within command prompt).

    The OP was on the forum about 6 hrs ago, although can't tell if there was a visit to this thread.
