    We can use the factory restore partition, if you can go any other way. What is the name an model of your computer?

    Attempting to reinstall I have my product key. I have a Sony VAIO VPCCW17FX, but I couldn't find anything for the partition, even though I know it's supposed to be there for this. I am downloading the drivers from Sony right now.

    If you have the key and a DVD and the download works you will be in good shape. We can make a back up with Macrium Reflect so this does not happen again.

    No need to use Macrium. Win 7's built-in Backup and Restore works perfectly for system image backups and restores. I've done enough times. I did some serious testing of this feature and the system image and restore passed with 100%.

    I'm not as fond of the other features of Win 7 Backup and Restore, but with System Images then Win 7 Backup and Restore works perfectly.

is there a way to not display the built-in admin account from the "manage accounts" list? Also, i set the password and set so you could not change the password. However in the manage accounts list i'm able to change the password and/or remove it. don't want that. please advise.

Can't access rollback, net user administrator /active:no denies me, I don't even know where it came from and why its on my computer without me enabling it and it blocks me from changing my password and from installing most programs. Someone please help.
Pretty basic question (I think). Is the built-in administrator's account exactly the same as a manually created local administrator's account privilege wise? Or does the built-in possess inherently elevated privileges? I have googled around, however, I can't find a clear answer for this. ...
