DVD problems burning. Saying I need more space on fresh disc.

This happens periodically on my HP Pavillion p6813w.
This time it seems to be here to stay!!!!!

I'll load a fresh DVD to burn files to.
Click the digit to burn to DVD as opposed to USB.

Try to cut/paste some stuff. 4.0 GBs let's say.

Window pops up telling me I need 3 more GBs of space.

I've restart and a few other things. New disc. Am attempting new app. as we speak. Etc.
Deepburner, seems to work. No wait, it's buggered as well. Says "writing drives not found'

Trying this now:

Okay, Microsoft Fix It says there's no problem writing to disk. hummm.
The plot thickens...

ExpressBurn Trial Edition has burned my DVD. Finally.

4:23 AM
Now my drive won't open.

Did the paperclip thing.

Not sure if I ejected the media before burning was complete??
Complete mess. Most files play properly other freeze my computer.

4:53, trying again with another disk.

What are you trying to burn and where did you get it?
Did you format the DVD first?
Imgburn works well.

personally I use this it's small compact does everything you need and works great with all versions of windows.
It also doesn't install virtual devices like many of the others.
It also uses the good old fashioned protocols that actually work properly.

Disc burning question
When I use Windows 7 to burn data or jpgs to a disc, the list of what I’m going to burn always includes “desktop.ini” ready to be written to disc. I just burned one driver file to a CD-R and when I look at the disc directory it lists the file I want plus “Files Ready to Be Written to Disc (1)”...
