Computer freezes to desktop when it starts and wont shut down.

My computer freezes many times when ill start it up and get to desktop. It wont take any commands after starting and ill have to shut it down by turning power off. It seems that when ill start my computer in safe mode and then ill restart and go back to normal mode it works normally. All these began after 2 latest updates.

tuplad89, Welcome to Seven Forums. This is not my area of expertise, but I would suggest, starting in normal mode. Hold down the windows key(the one with the flag on it) and push the "R" key. It will bring up a dialogue box. type msconfig in the box and go to the startup tab. Uncheck everything there except your anti virus program, you will be prompted to reboot. Do so. Reboot even if not pompted. after reboot go back and make sure everything is still unchecked. See if you notice a difference in your issue.

Next press the start button and open an elevated command prompt ( Start-type cmd in the search boz, right click the cmd entry there and select run as administrator) In that window that appears type/copy-paste sfc /scannow If you decide to type it notice the space between the SFC and the /. If it says it found no integrity issues, type exit and let us know. If it says it found problems it couldn't fix, exit and restart the computer. Do the same thing again run scannow again. reboot. Keep doing that for 3 or 4 times until you get found no integrity violations. It is scanning system files looking for corrupted or missing files and trying to replace/repair them. It may take up to 3 times with reboots in between.

Please let us know the results of those things.
