Hibernation issues with Win 7 - no hibernation but goes to login scr

    I did the scannow thing yesterday. It basically said there were no issues to report.

    Okay. I will just work on it this afternoon. But, the link you provided told me to do the sfc /scannow command. I did that yesterday, and it didn't find any errors.

    Go to the Action Center click on View Performance Information / Advanced Tools /

    Are there any Issues there ?

    Disable the Hibernation file from the link I gave you earlier,

    Reboot the PC.

    Now run a Disk Cleanup - Open and Use

    Now defrag the hard drive. I prefer Puran Defrag Boot Time defrag with full Disk Check. This gets at System files which would be running otherwise, and checks the file system over first.

    Reboot the PC again.

    Re-enable Hibernate.
