    You can also improve performance by editing Visual effects at Control Panel>System>Advanced Settings of (only) Fading, Sliding, Animation, Dragging Intact, and Selection Rectangle without any noticeable difference in appearance.

    The defragmenter you suggested is working on it right now. It said it replaced some bad cluster files with new ones. What does that mean?

    That sounds like the full Disk Check which precedes the Defrag, repairing the file system which can indeed cause this problem. Puran pairs these tests to check the file system first before reordering it via Defrag.

    Be sure to follow the steps in order carefully. If you've done so then after Disk Check and the Defrag which will follow it, be sure to reboot and then re-enable Hibernation.

    I think it did pair it. I followed the steps of what Puran said to do.
