OK, so what are the advantages of getting
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 versus Windows 7 Professional x64?

There really isn't much of a difference, but a few extra programs, and languages.

    Compare Windows - Microsoft Windows

OK, so I'm assuming if I buy Win 7 directly from MS... they'd support it?

How does that work, by snail mail?

You can download it or have it shipped to you. Or both for an extra 15.

Most people download it as an .iso file and burn it to a disc.

But, I would then be able to call Bill with questions if I bought it from him... right?

I figured I'd call him at the big house...

Oh yeah of course, i heard it was easier to call him on his cell. So if you get ahold of that, then unlimited support...:P

I was kidding about actually calling Bill... when we play golf he doesn't like to get tech support questions either...

But, if I buy from MS I do get support from them right?
Or is that even a road worth traveling?

I heard once that they just tell you to re-install if it cannot be easily fixed within a few moments.

Yeah i know I was kidding about it all to.

I believe you get support no matter what. even if it is a pre installed on the machine.

If it comes with your hardware, then that computer manufacturer provides support... is what I always heard.

But, if you buy retail direct from MS then they support you directly, allegedly.
I was just wondering if that would be an advantage or a disadvantage..
