Win 7 not writing Minidump files

    Win 7 not writing Minidump files


    Hi ppl,
    As in tittle,
    I have small memory dump filea enabled in startup/Recovery

    I have checked the regisrty and writing files is enabled and being sent to C:/Windows/Minidump

    Page file ia enabled

    But windows still will not
    Write minidump files

    Anything else i can check/alter to cure this.

    Cheers for that BRINK tried all that and it still won`t write the dump files for some reason.

    Any more idea`s i can try?

    This is what i have set at the moment.




    But still no files

    Well, you will not get a dump file until your system crashes with a BSOD afterwards.

    My system has crashed two time since my last post and still no files have been wrote

    i have also un-installed WinDbug and re-installed it.

    re-set my pagefile to let windows manage it,

    i have even restored my pc back to june when dump files were being written.

    Just dont know what to to do next.

    Looks like im defeated then, gunna have to do a fresh install of windows and hope that cures it.
    Thought i might of got a few more suggestions on this forum though,

    Well Guy`s just to let you know, i done a fresh install of windows, fully updated o/s and all drivers, put all my mainly used programs back on. :)

    Forced a BSOD and guess what? STILL NO F*****G DUMP FILES Wrote.

    So i`m no further forword with this one.

    Think i`ll just get the XBOX back out its less of APITA

    Now iI have New Bios, New install of win 7 all updates and still no minidump files written


    someone must have a clue out there surely

    could it be something to do with my C: O/S Drive being a PCI-e SSD ?
