when windows xp came out i didn't like it one bit. learned to use it and kept it for 10 years as my main OS. tried vista and it sucked the life out of my machine. used it for 3 days and it went poof to the recycle bin. was a beta tester for windows 7 and quickly learned how to use/tweak it. hate windows 8 its not made for PC's. even running a VB for windows 8 slowed my machine to a crawl. ill keep 7 till it ends (or i die) whichever comes first

Yeah, I realized that too late.

Your experiences and opinions are mine, as well. I wasn't a beta tester for Windows 7, though.

Because the bad out weighs the good 10:1???? I sincerely thought that this was a sight to help people with windows 7 issues/annoyances. I certainly did not expect this to be a fan site.
Mate, the reason we help people is because we like windows 7, or how we modded windows 7. We want to make it pleasant and enjoyable for everyone.

However, it isn't perfect. Nothing can please all of the people at the same time. Nothing at all. You would be someone who prefers a different way of doing things, that would be considered uncommon. As Microsoft is a business for profit, unfortunately they are in no position to reach out to everyone's particular preferences.

With that in mind, Microsoft has attempted to make leaps in its products that the general public will swarm to. Think back to Vista. It isn't bad with its patches now, but Microsoft put out something that was new and bold. Different in so many ways. Windows update was now integrated, instead of online. It had aero which made things 'prettier' (to most people's standards). But it lacked support and other things to start with. It just wasn't ready, and MS just forced it out. But how can any business know what people like unless they actually put a product out? Who truely knows that the profit-giving public will desire next? Some people swear by Vista.

Vista beget 7. 7 is an OS that is now (end of august) the most widely used OS on the planet - OS Statistics
Windows 8 was a bold step in a new direction. Give MS credit for trying to find what we the public will jump for next.

8 is just what some people want, and not what others want. Preference once more. What is next? What will come from Windows 8? I might want a taste of windows 9. Shall we think of epic names for it and send them to Microsoft? I'd get tired of calling them by numeric values in the near future.
