The window I'm on goes off and I have to click on it again sometimes

The window I'm on, being a browser or a game, clicks off, like the window stays up but what it was focusing on goes to another screen, yet I didn't click on anything. It's really annoying when I'm playing a game because I usually die unless I click on the screen quickly. Also when I'm typing. I downloaded avast! and I think that may be the problem. I don't want to uninstall it though because I find it more helpful than any other antivirus.

How can I fix? Thanks for your help

first off uninstall Avast and install MSE

Second do complete your profile specs

Third.. do use this tool and post the files here ... we can have a look and advice.

I uninstalled avast and got mse, I have other problems with my computer and I tried restarting it once i finished getting mse and windows 7 couldn't open so I had to do a system restore. It's been doing this every time I restart.

I'm sorry I'm not very experienced with computers, how do I access safe mode? and what will it do to help me?
And I mean the startup goes up, but then it comes up with it saying it can't open windows. Then I click on the repair bit but it can't repair and I have to do a system restore. I don't think it came up with any system errors. And the problem is that google has a weak signature and my browsers are redirecting me to other websites when I'm on a search engine.

I'm really sorry if I'm not that specific, I guess I'm a little worried.

Safe mode is a troubleshooting option for Windows that starts your computer in a limited state. Only the basic files and drivers necessary to run Windows are started. The words Safe Mode appear in the corners of your monitor to identify which Windows mode you're using

    Follow this.

once there .. you can remove the software you dont want ... by going into control panel > Programs and features...

Again.. we can suggest what to uninstall if you can run this tool in normal mode and upload it here.

Install and run a full scan with Malwarebytes.

Then install and run a full scan with SuperAntiSpyware free edition: SUPERAntiSpyware.com - Downloads

Access your Browser options and Disable all Add-ons except Flash Player. Don't let any others install unless you confirm you need them for a function you need to use.

Uninstall all Toolbars and search services in Control Panel>Prorgrams. Don't let any install EVER.

Establish a Clean Boot first, then work through these other Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 which will help you get control of your Win7 and be the master of your PC by gaining confidence in your troubleshooting abilities.

Ask back any questions you have as you go.

    I did all but the clean boot. My laptop was being very frustrating so I shut it down and turned it on again. Now all the system restore points don't seem to be working. Now I'm using my iPod to reply. Safe mode isn't working and the repair function isn't working. I'm really sorry to be such a nuisance ;_;
