    A pink screen

Hi folks, can anyone help me?... A few days ago my monitor screen started flashing a pink/purple color. This happened a few times and now the screen has a pink/purple tint to it. Where's this going to end? Do I need to invest in a new monitor?

Do you have any Speakers near the Monitor? System Secs would be nice too.

    Thanks

Take a screenshot of your desktop, post it here or copy to another PC which has no display issues. If the screenshot is normal = no color distortions, the issue is on your display or display cable. If the distortions can also be seen in the screenshot, it's most probably a defect GPU.

I think you need to check your Graphic Card!

Can you test just the monitor (not the cable) on another PC?

No, if the color distortion can also be seen in the screenshot then the problem is in your GPU, the graphics card. If the screenshot is OK, no distortions, then it would have been the display or the display cable.

Please notice you need to check the screenshot in a working PC and display i.e. in a computer which you know shows the colors correctly. If you just look at it on your distorted display, you will of course see the "pinkness".
