    Spoke to soon, icon turn back this morning to a generic look. I guess i have a problem with firefox. I had to re-install yet again firefox. Any one else having this problem?

    as i said earlier, i have the same issue with malware bytes anti malware, the icon turns generic after some restarts. and then the only work around is to reinstall the application. However, go to %userprofile%\AppData\Local and delete the IconCache.db file and restart your computer. It helps sometimes. Worth a try.

I have several dozen programs installed on my Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit PC. Icon is just a white blank icon. Works accessing program. In task bar and on programs list is proper. Only icon like this. On both admin and user account i have been searched forum, and lots of places on internet. Wow this is a tuffy to figure out. :(
