    Computer problems.

Hello, I'm new to these fourms and i've been having problems with my Laptop, I'm not sure if this is in the wrong section and I apoligize if it is. This is sorta a last resort because I don't know what to do anymore I'm getting the 'No Internet access' yellow triangle on my laptop but my desktop works perfectly so I thought it might be a problem with my WiFi but when I plug the enthernet coard into my laptop it still has the Triangle, can anybody help me?

Rightclick the connection icon in the bottom right System Tray to run it's Troubleshooter.

    What does it report?

Are you finding your network and connecting OK when you left click on that same icon?

It says, Your broadband modem is experiencing connectivity issues.

Have you unplugged your router to try plugging ethernet directly from modem, or just from the router?

The troubleshooter is almost always correct so I would contact your ISP to help you sort the problems with your modem, possibly resetting it. This Support is included in your monthly bill.

I have a router and modem In one, and yes I have many times also I contacted them and they tried everything and told me that it might be the WiFi card or something along the lines of that.

I trust the troubleshooter as it's never been wrong on its diagnosis.

So there is no difference between a wired and wireless connection? This would not indicate either adapter, if it's both. This would indicate the gateway.

But I understand this same thing isn't happening on your desktop, so it's worth troubleshooting the devices.

So try uninstalling the Wireless driver in Device Manager, reboot to auto-reinstall it.

Make sure it has the latest driver.

Disconnect and reconnect to your network.

Please check in the Device Manager (Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System>Device Manager) if the Network Adapter is properly installed. If not then download its Driver from the Net and install it.

Please also fill your System Specs fully (System Info - See Your System Specs).

And welcome to the Seven Forums though belated, Stormybee.
