like this ,
instead of bytes , I want to display the kilobytes
Do you mean KB or KiB?
KB - Kilobyte - Kilobyte generally refers to 1000 bytes
KiB - Kibibyte - Kibibyte refers to 1024 bytes
The kibibyte is closely related to the kilobyte. The latter is often used in some contexts as a synonym for the kibibyte, but formally refers to 103 bytes = 1000 bytes, as the prefix is defined in the International System of Units.
KB and KiB are both valid systems (with the former being multiples of 1000 and the latter multiples of 1024), and there's no completely valid reason to chose one over the other in computer use. In fact, Windows uses KiB but calls it KB while Macintosh uses KB in newer OSs, but in older ones calls KIB KB.
And so to reduce confusion, Microsoft displays the values in bytes.
I'll be dipped. I've been working with computers for a very long time and never, ever heard that definition. To me KB always meant 1024 bytes.
xB is decimal (base 10)
xiB is hexadecimal (base 16)
A good day then as I learned something new. Thanks
