Office included in most factory OEM preinstalls is a trial version you must pay for to use after a brief trial period. More recent versions have Office Starter which is free to use, soon to be replaced by a new Office web app.
If it doesn't have Starter then unless you want to pay $250+ it is best uninstalled following the steps in Clean Up Factory Bloatware. If you can set up Starter then I'd keep it, or...
Many use free Open Office by Sun Java and like it fine.
