    Need to access 'My Documents' folder after laptop failure


    My laptop has stopped working, so I am using its Sata hard-drive as an external drive on my PC in order to make sure all my files are backed up. I can copy my photos across but it says I don't have permission to access my documents, even though I use the same name and password on both my laptop and my PC.
    Does anyone know a way of accessing these files?

Q1. When I look at the folders in C:\Users\User-Name , I can see a folder. I double click on and the location now is C:\Users\User-Name\Documents , why is the folder name different from the exact folder location? (I notice all other folders that have the word "My" has the same situation) Q2....

Hello, I am having a little problem here, I searched this forum but I can't find a proper solution. We are currently trying to make the .NET applications we provide ready for windows 7. We tried with W7 BETA Ultimate 32BIT and so far and everything looked fine. All applications are working...
