by default, do i need to enter a password each time the desktop screen appears? because i don't want to do that.

    Hi soulfood

If you remove the password then any one who has the physical access( one who can start your computer from his/her finger or any other part of the body) to your computer( like ur parents, brother, sisters, friends) can do whatever they want. But any how you will be safe from other things.

Your safety over the internet is the same whether you have a password for your user account or not.

Incidently soulfood I have been reading your old posts especially around October last year and your system specs then were very much higher than what is shown now. Just a thought but are your specs up to date?
