Tile vertically

Hi,
I do like Win7 so far (compared to XP), but one of the things I'm missing is the "Tile vertically" function (you know, where you can select a few programs in the taskbar and make them automatically fit on the screen together).

Is it really no there or am I just overlooking it?

aero snap sort of replicates this feature, where you drag a window to the edge of the screen.

or try playing with windows key + arrow keys.

i know it's not quite the same, maybe other forum users will improve on this idea...

"Show windows stacked" is the option.

Thank you for your answer! While these two are indeed nice features, the old way was considerably more convenient (especially when more than two programs are involved).

i know it's not quite the same, maybe other forum users will improve on this idea...

Ahh, I see. After your hint I googled the phrase and read that you have to do this on an empty part of the toolbar. The (huge) drawback of this is that ALL open windows will be stacked / displayed sided by side, unlike in XP where I have 10 windows open and only select the 3 that I want to have next to each other. But it's a start, so thank you as well for your reply.

Minimize all the windows you do not want. Leaving only the ones you do want visible. Quick was to do this, grab one window and shake it a bit, all the other windows will hide. Open the windows you want to stack.

Ahh, right, the shake. I forgot about that one.

It's still not as good as directly selecting the windows, but I guess it will have to do.

Here is a tip that I found that I found to be better for the purposes of reviewing two screens side by side:

1. Drag the title bar of a window to the left or right side of the screen until an outline of the expanded window appears.
2. Release the mouse to expand the window.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 with another window to arrange the windows side by side.
