is it possible to merge these 2 partitions together? F into D

please provide me with links to any tutorials/guides/software to solve this

    and one more thing:

installed RAM is 4GB(2.99GB useable) <- can somebody explain to me what does this means? does another 1.01GB is wasted?

Not unless you move E: out of the way first.

    Hi,

    You can also do this:

    1. Merge E: and F: - lets now call it new E:
    2. Resize new E: so its smaller
    3. Move new E: to the right to create unallocated space between D: and E:
    4. Resize D: into the unallocated space created in step 3 above

I recommend using FREE Partition Wizard for this work. Use this as a guide:

Partition Wizard : Use the Bootable CD

Your other question : you cannot use more RAM since you are using Windows 32 bit.

    Regards,

Seems you have more than four partitions on a MBR drive...

It will possibly make things slightly more tricky.

    Wait. F is empty right?

IF so, remove that partition. Otherwise move the few files and then delete the partition.

Move E (Game Centre) to the end of the drive.

now you can resize Cinema partition until there is no more unallocated space.

It should be faster as there is less stuff to do. what Golden said works fine as well.

E and F are logical partitions, "virtual partitions" in an extended partition. The max limit of 4 applies only to primary+extended partitions, and you can have only one extended partition per disk, but all logical partitions you want. Which is the whole point behind the invention of extended and logical partitions.

Use free Partition Wizard bootable CD.

Rightclick to Delete F which is empty, click OK.

Rightclick E to Resize, slide left border to the right to move E into the deleted Free Space from F, OK.

Now rightclick d to Resize, slide right border to the right into the space where E was, OK, Apply all steps.
