Shrink Volume

Hi Folks,

My image shows the present settings for my friends new pc.
How do I shrink the volume without affecting the pc to add one new partition only giving me a C:drive about 50-75gb.

In the past, I've tried to change partition sizes or add partitions. I've had to run Disc Defrag before Windows would allow the partition to be shrunk.

This is what I've tried sofar. I used Disk Management in Device Manager & Command Prompt run as Admin., & got nearly a split result each time i.e. 700gb each. Will try your link. Any tips would be appreciated.

A 3rd person advising you to use PartitionWizard's bootable disc version.

That's not surprising. Windows doesn't like to move certain files, which can prevent you from shrinking as much as you like.

Partition Wizard bootable disk is the tool to use. It's quite self-explanatory, but there is a tutorial on this site for it.
