In the past, I've tried to change partition sizes or add partitions. I've had to run Disc Defrag before Windows would allow the partition to be shrunk.
Windows Disk Management will likely limit how much you can shrink.
Instead, go here:
Free download Magic Partition Manager Software, partition magic alternative, free partition magic, partition magic Windows 7 and server partition software - Partition Wizard Online
And download the last file--the bootable disk version. Partition Wizard is the best tool for the job.
This is what I've tried sofar. I used Disk Management in Device Manager & Command Prompt run as Admin., & got nearly a split result each time i.e. 700gb each. Will try your link. Any tips would be appreciated.
