I had a scare with my computer yesterday and almost had to reinstall but realized that my install disk seems to be missing. I was wondering if I borrowed a windows 7 home premium install disc from my friend would I be able to use my product key (On bottom of laptop) to install correctly...

i new to all of this update bios thing and i just learned how to do it today (or so i hope...)
but i still too scared to give it a try because
1. i never done it before and scare to loss my mobo
2. i don't know what the stable version for it
