Is there any hope in moving Win7 HDD to a new home?

I'm not taking sides and I apologise for side tracking with my part about Timezones. Did suggest that we conduct that on PM basis but that didn't happen. My fault and I will put mu hand up to that. But lets be fair especialy to Greg, read again the OP's remarks in post #26. That would have got really up my nose!

1)If I understand, Get some tools, move the drive to the tower, boot, reactivate, reinstall all new drivers.

2) Same here, change the components, reactivate, install new drivers.

Clean install is always an option and I would recommend it in these cases.

Does NON-OEM mean a full retail version?
