taking ownership of files may also be needed to circumvent a few existing bugs involving start menu icon creation, network profile saving, etc.
it comes in handy now and again ;o

I wish that was the case Shawn, but as you can see from the screenshot I only have the take ownership item

Strange because when I go to REGEDIT I have RUN AS ADMIN not take ownership.
where did you get your copy of 7600.?
Are you logged in as Admin?
are you the only user?
My RTM build is from my MSDN subscription, I have also just re-formatted and installed freash to try and solve my problem with corrupt recycle bins.
After reapplying the take ownership reg tweak I still loose the run as admin. I am logged into my account which is an admin account (but obviously not THEY admin account).
If I hold shift it does give the extra option to Run As a different user but not sure what to type here, as typing administrator doesnt work!
Can I ask where/which take ownership tweak you used so I can ensure I used the same registry settings?
Thanks in advance
Tylor
Ok so I uninstalled the take ownership reg tweak I implemented and tried the one posted above, unfortunately the same problem occurs - Take Ownership works great but run as admin is missing.
So I checked the tutorial section of the forum in relation to context menu tweaks and I have managed to implement a work-around so I can have both features on the right click context menu.

Tylor,
I'm happy to hear that you got it sorted, but the Take Ownership contect menu addition from either location below should have both "Take Ownership" and "Run as Administrator" in the context menu for application files.

or
Take Ownership Shortcut
Yeah I fully expected the tweak to do as you suggested and leave both options available, but as you can see from my screen shot it didn't. As soon as I install the take ownership tweak I loose the function to run as admin when right clicking a .exe file! strange I know, at least I have now got a work-around...
Thanks for your suggestions... now I just need to crack the corrupt recycle bin errors ;->
