Start up & Windows7 home premium update problems

    Hi
I am having problems at start up and with updating windows on my computer

I am running Windows7 Home Premium 64 bit on a Compaq presario CQ61 Notebook

On start up i get a message saying that these 3 programs

    jusched.exe
    STM3 TrayIcon: E_IATIGCE.EXE
    SynTPEnh.exe

cant start because iertutil.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem

I have tried looking for this program but have had no luck in finding it

Also when trying to perform any windows updates, it tries to update, but i always get code error - 8007371c
I have looked through the update history and the problem started about 2 weeks ago. i have tried to do a system restore but for some reason it is only showing restore points for the last 24 hours

I have not come across any other problems such as connecting to the internet or accessing any files or documents.

    Are these problems connected ?

I would be more than grateful for any help in sorting these problems

    Den

Try opening a command prompt and type in SFC /scannow

Would that be after c:\ users\ Denis> and after typing in does it begin automatically

(sorry not too clever with stuff like this)

Those are startup programs for touchpad, Java updater and a video card software that, like most, don't need to start up with Win7. So you can first try unchecking them in msconfig>Startup and >Services after Hiding all MS Services.

If you're still running the factory pre-installed bloatware I would at least Clean Up Factory Bloatware and strongly consider getting the superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.
