[QUOTE=Labsy;476664]My bugs on Windows 7 / Server 2008 R2 so far:

IE8 back-buttons (and others)
I am not sure if this is Windows7 / 2008 R2 related, but I noticed this behaviour only on newly installed machines. IE8 sometimes freezes buttons for BACK and REFRESH, and also TOOLS menu is mostly grayed-out.
Seems like some security feature, which is buggy.

I have had major problems with IE8 and the back button. It just does not work correctly. It does not work on Windows 7 and Windows XP. It seems to work perfectly on Vista (However I only used Vista for 2 months). I have been using Windows 7 through many of the Betas and all the RCs. IE8's back button has never worked. I reported it over and over to Microsoft while they were working on Windows 7 hoping they would fix it but they have not. I have found that if the back button does not work you can press the backspace key and it will. (note: only sometimes)

Apologies if this has been mentioned but the add/remove control panel is lost when it comes to installed software - I have roughly 50GB or so of games not 3GB.

Open the properties of any device in Device Manager, then hover over the close button. Strobe effect.

No way, could it be my ESET antivirus/firewall because neither IE8 or Firefox can display these thumbnails or even the full images, searching images on google works fine though.
If it was only IE8 I could imagine the cach was to small or something but both IE8 and Firefox having trouble points to something else, any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance.

Windows Explorer Tree - Jumping

This drives me nuts. When navigating in Windows Explorer, if you double click a folder in the left pane to expand it, the folder you double clicked stays stationary and its contents expand below it. This what you would expect.

However, if you continue double clicking to expand a folder in the left pane, the folder moves from under your mouse down to the bottom of the pane. Any folder you double click from then on jumps down close to the bottom of the left pane instead of staying stationary and simply expanding under your cursor like you would expect.

If you double click a folder in the right pane to expand it, its twin in the left pane also jumps to the bottom of the left pane.

Some discussion of it:

Strange folder behavior in left pane of Windows Explorer

W7 Jumping To Bottom Browser When clicking on Folders

Windows explorer tree view expands at the bottom, not at the top as it used to be

1. Set your desktop background to any solid color.
2. Reboot your computer u will observe a 30 sec delay on welcome screen.

How do u explain this

3. Set a picture background u will see the welcome screen delay from log in is gone.

Hi again,
Ok have fixed Hubblesite.org problem, reset page encoding to auto-select and now have my .jpg thumbnails and pictures back, may be a region settings problem?

The mouse scroll problem was some malware in user/appdata/local/temp folder, removed with malwarebytes.

The media player problem, well will stick to avi files lol.

I'm pretty happy overall, but:

1. Firefox will often stop responding if I try to go to a website too early after it starts up, or if I stop a slow loading site.

2. Media Center gives me a corrupt recycle bin if I delete a show from inside MC. If I delete with Explorer, no problem. No amount of diddling with the recycle bin size, or the record folder size seems to help.

3. Can't get jump lists to work.

4. The start menu doesn't show me commonly opened programs, even though I have it set that way. It shows me a bunch of utilities I never use.

5. Startup programs seem to load in an arbitrary order, occasionally causing slowdowns or errors.

6. Uninstalling things often leaves empty folders behind in the start menu .

7. And my #1: Device manager will show an item and say there is no driver loaded. If you click on the driver tab, there is one loaded, yet the hardware doesn't work. Seven will then not allow you to load the driver that makes the hardware work. ????

Just dumb, stupid things.

Windows 7 bugs
Windows 7 has a TON OF BUGS they need to work out. For example, almost all of the everyday things that I like to download, like Java, will not work on here. Microsoft needs to develope a lot of patches that will make my Vista software and hardware work on Windows 7.
