Windows 7 Ultimate - Explorer Frame Problem

Hello, Recently after installing windows 7, I have encountered two minor problems and would like to know the solution, I have provided an image containing the problem as I cannot describe it.
Im sure the wifi explorer box is meant to have an aero border?
    I would really appreciate help.
They are both seperate pics , not together

See if the Aero troubleshooter is available on the Personalization screen.
If so, run it and see if it gives any pointers.

There's also a Microsoft Fix-it available which would be worth trying:

Windows Aero Glass visual effects are not working or displayed

Problem solved, turns out there was no padding and that it was at 0, changed it to 1 and it went back to normal, thanks for your suggestions though

Sure! I went to Control Panel, Appearance and Personalization, Personalization, Window Color and Appearance, Advanced Appearance settings..., Border Padding, Changed the Value from 0 to 1 and there you have it.
