Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot

Is it the situation that you cannot boot even in the Safe Mode?

If so, try booting the Windows installer disk. Does it boot? Let us know.

It looks that this is the problem of "BAD Sectors" in hard disk. Same problem I have faced. You need to format the hard disk, then install windows in it. If still it do not work, you need to change the hard disk.

    Hello netta4731,

You can recover all your data, by using this hard disk of the computer as external hard disk. For this you will require a hard disk case which comes with USB 2.0. This will be helpful to connect your Hard drive to separate computer. If you are not a tech expert, I'll advise you to take help of a computer expert.

Prepare a live Linux CD/bootable pendrive, boot from it and check whether you can recover your data. Save it to another external drive.

See the guide to prepare a Puppy Linux drive and recovery procedure here. Lucid Puppy way to recover files from a non-bootable computer

If it does not work, we can move on to rigourous data recovery procedures.

Till you recover the data, do not make any attempt to resurrect/repair the hard drive and tax it further. May make matters worse.
