    Blurry text & icons in select applications

    I had no idea where to put this, so general discussion it is;

    I have no idea why but in some applications like Chrome, Audacity and Installer wizards, the text is blurry. It's not blurry in any other applications that I've come across yet. I've gone through the personalisation thing in Control Panel with the Display settings, and got to the point where now only select applications and icons are blurry, is there a way to fix this in these applications?

    Blurry text and icons in Audacity:

    I'm not seeing anything terribly obvious in the screens.
    Minor blurriness in a couple but the text in the last shot just looks like the system needs it's cleartype setup properly.
    ClearType Text Tuner

    For the icons you could try a cache rebuild, but I'm not entirely convinced there is a problem with them.

    Also you may want to verify that you system is running at it's optimal display resolution.

    The pictures don't do it any justice because I shrunk them down to fit in the post. I can upload full size for you if you want and a comparison picture as well.

    The icon cache rebuild seemed to work, thanks.

    And my monitor is at optimal resolution according to windows.
