    I screwed something up...

I was one of those guys that went to the registry and deleted the lnk file to get rid of the shortcut arrows in vista. I was stupid and did the same thing with Windows 7, not knowing that it would screw up the jump list feature in 7.
So today I got wind of a simple registry fix that would have everything working again. So....I downloaded the fix, merged it into the registry, and now instead of icons on my desktop, I have a little white graphical interface covering them(see attached (screenshot).
I hope somebody can help.....I have faith.

On a bright note.........my jump lists age fine!

I am moving this post to performance and maintenance.I didn't realize I was posting it here

Hello Vincent, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Try downloading and merging the lnk download in the tutorial below, then restart the computer afterwards to see if that can restore them for you.

Default File Type Associations - Restore

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    Twisted...

Do a Google search for Frameworkx, it's a Vista Shortcut and Arrow removal program for Vista but it works in 7 perfectly..
