Inspiron N4110 not booting after Hibernation

My laptop wont start after hibernation. The hard drive starts to spin up after I hit the power button but stops and the screen stays black. The power is still going (I checked the lights) but it still doesn't start. Once I completely turn it off by holding the power button, it starts fine. It wouldn't be a huge deal except I lose everything that I had running. If anyone has any ideas on whats happening or how to fix it, please help.

Hiyya leadwolf and welcome well one suggestion that comes to mind is disable hibernation. Personally I disable it to keep my machines up to speed. I also don't like leaving things running anyway and getting going from hibernation in my experience take almost as much time as a boot.

If you are interested you can find how in this tutorial which by the way that has other settings and tweaks that will help your machine run faster anyway.
