when you say is this ok what do you mean by that to run on windows 7 or to run the game or what
This is a very nice SSD and should be perfect for the OS. If you want to transfer your current system, see here: SSD - Install and Transfer the Operating System
Thank you for the TUT!
I needed one. And wouldn't it be better just for a fresh install? I only have a few games to move over and I can just reinstall themI meant I am running windows 7 OS and maybe install 1 game (GTA IV) to it. GTA IV is very intensive I have noticed.. Especially because I have graphic mods and it's view is basically the whole city at once. (It NEVER loads completely because of my slow HDD)
So that's the only game I'm planning on putting on it. And maybe 1 more so it should be PLENTY of room.
I have a secondary 1TB HDD for all my steam games.
It will be just fine for one game. People generally buy larger SSD's for more speed and capacity for their games and programs. Intel is at the top of the list in terms of reliability, so I wouldn't worry about any functionality issues. If it's your first SSD, it will be speedier than your HDD.
You should see a significant change in the time it takes to load games (on the SSD) to the upside.
Yes it's my first SSD, and I have a i7 3770K WITHOUT A SSD! That's crazy!
as I said before it will be used for OS mainly. and it was half price off on amazon remember that!
And it comes with all the cables and bays I need unlike some others
60GB should be perfect because ALL my steam games go on my 1TB HDD
If I absolutely need more space I can always go raid and buy another one
Yes a fresh install will be best but don't' forget all the mobo and GPU drivers and then grab all your updates. You'll love the speed that it handles this task. You have just entered a new era of computing and you'll never look back...enjoy !
