EXE files won't launch

    It looks I'm back up and running the way I used to be. So far . . . I think.

    The solution was resetting the registry entries for default action for .exe and .bat file.

    I'm currently running MalwareBytes and another program to see if I have any strange infections.

    Fixed my problem


    Thank you so much for finding this solution. I clicked on Default File Type Associations - Restore and that solved all my problems. Whenever I ran any .exe on my system, it would only run the "Download Dialog Box" for any program. So, I could not do anything at all and couldn't find any help. I found this, ran the .exe reg fix and everything now works!! Thank you!!!!
